Our process has five key pieces – depicted in the graphic below.
A Crawford Visioning Committee has been constituted. The committee is comprised of community leaders, county residents, and business leaders from all parts of Crawford County. The committee is responsible for overseeing the CRAWFORD: 20/20 Vision initiative.
We are doing an Environmental Scan that involves examining data on our county and reaching out to the people of Crawford to identify the key strengths and challenges for inclusion in the final plan.
Our plan will be finalized by the end of October 2010. There will be many opportunities for the public to review and comment on the plan before it becomes final.
Once the plan is finalized, the implementation stage begins. Every participant in this initiative is committed to seeing the final plan implemented.
The most important piece of this initiative is the major emphasis on gathering public input and comments on the challenges and ideas that are emerging throughout the planning process. This website provides opportunities to provide input and feedback on our materials (Provide Input). Additionally, we are holding a series of community meetings at locations throughout the county to hear directly from the people of the county (Announcements).
