Recently, individuals and organizations in Crawford County have made great strides in promoting and creating opportunities for leadership development.
During the 2011 Chick-fil-a Leadercast, Ohio Mutual Insurance Group (OMIG) announced its commitment of $200,000 to establish and sustain a community development effort called “Crawford Unlimited Leadership” (CULead) via Crawford: 20/20 Vision, a countywide improvement initiative.
The Leadercast, presented by Hord Livestock, Crawford: 20/20 Vision, the Bucyrus Area Community Foundation and 12 other local sponsors, focused on leadership development for positive change in the community.
As a gesture of appreciation and an acknowledgement toward building sustainable leadership in the county, the Crawford County Economic Development Partnership (CCEDP) will hold an unveiling ceremony as the $200,000 check is placed for public display in the entrance of the county courthouse on May 25 at 7:45 a.m.
Crawford County Commissioners and other community leaders will present a proclamation, deeming June “Leadership Development Month” in honor of community contributions, the success of the Leadercast event and the momentum gained by Crawford: 20/20 Vision.
Media and community members are invited to partake in the brief morning ceremony. Immediately following, ceremony attendees are invited to join the CCEDP for its monthly meeting in the courthouse’s lower level conference room.
